RaeLynn and Rhett Akins Release “We’re American Made”

RaeLynn teams up with Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Rhett Akins on a reimagined version of The Oak Ridge Boys’ 1983 classic, out July 3 on Red Van Records.

Platinum-selling artist RaeLynn and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Rhett Akins have released “We’re American Made,” a reimagined version of The Oak Ridge Boys’ classic 1983 hit, out July 3 on Red Van Records. The pair performed the song together at the Grand Ole Opry and introduced it during CMA Fest.

Songwriters Bob DiPiero, Pat McManus and Amy Stroup crafted the new version, which broadens the original’s romantic storyline into a celebration of American values and heritage, while producer Corey Crowder blends contemporary country production with the classic’s timeless optimism.

“The first time I heard this version, it just made me smile. It’s fun, it’s positive, and it reminds me of so many things that bring people together,” said RaeLynn. Akins added: “Great country songs never get old, and this is one of those songs. It’s a classic for a reason.”
